US festival awards Iranian cinematographer

Iranian cinematographer Mohammad Haddadi has won the Best Cinematography Award at the Flamingo Film Festival in the US.

Haddadi received the award for his work on ‘Lunch Time’ directed by Alireza Qasemi on June 10, 2017.

The winning film, ‘Lunch Time’, had previously been nominated for a short film Palme d’Or at the 70th edition of Cannes Film Festival in France.

The Iranian cinematographer announced the news to local media adding that he is currently working on a new production titled ‘Termite’.

The Flamingo Film Festival is an American festival dedicated to exhibiting the international short films and videos produced by student filmmakers.

For the past three editions held in South Florida, this event has honored outstanding narrative, documentary, experimental, and animated projects created by students while enrolled in a college, university or other post-secondary institutions.
